Chapter 1

Sakshi pov's

"Get up, Aryan!" I yelled, but this donkey was still asleep. I knew he wouldn't budge, so I took drastic measures. I headed to the bathroom, grabbed a bucket of water, and returned to pour it all over him, blanket and all! The sudden soaking would surely wake him up!

He sprang up like a jack-in-the-box, furious, and started yelling, "What the hell, Di? Why are you yelling at me, and now this? What's the matter? Can't I even sleep?" His anger unleashed a barrage of questions.

I stood firm, unfazed by his outburst. "Go get ready, we need to leave in half an hour," I ordered, my voice firm but calm.

He shot me a rebellious look before stomping off to the washroom, still grumbling under his breath.

I wore a sleek blue suit, perfectly tailored to accentuate my curves, paired with a crisp white T-shirt and a matching white blazer slung casually over my shoulder. My outfit exuded a confident, bossy vibe, and I felt absolutely stunning. My hair was left open, cascading down my back in luscious waves, framing my face and adding a touch of elegance to my overall look. The combination of my sharp attire and flowing locks made me feel like a powerhouse, ready to take on the world.

And then made my way to the breakfast table, where Sanjay Bhai was waiting for us. "Good morning, brother!" I said, giving him a warm hug.

"Good morning, amore," he replied, hugging me back. He had called me "amore" (Italian for "love") since I was a child, and it had become a sweet tradition between us.

Just then, Aryan arrived, grumbling, "Good morning, brother, and Hitler didi." I rolled my eyes good-naturedly and teased, "Good morning, donkey!"

Sanjay Bhai intervened, "Okay, both of you, stop the banter and eat up quickly. We need to head to the office; there's an urgent matter in Sakshi's office."

Aryan asked, "But what's going on? Di started yelling and woke me up at 8 in the morning! What's the urgency?"

I replied, "I have a crucial meeting with Aaran today regarding my deal, and you need to check the office cameras and take care of a few other things."

My voice turned stern, "And if Kushal tries to sabotage me again, I swear I'll kill him! This deal can't slip away from me this time."

Sanjay Bhai nodded seriously, understanding the gravity of the situation. Aryan's expression turned concerned, sensing the tension.

Sanjay Bhai said, "Calm down, amore. We know you have a rivalry with Kushal, but why can't you both stop sabotaging each other's deals? And yes, do whatever it takes to protect your interests, just not of killing him." He added with a hint of humor.

I replied, my voice firm, "Stop showing mercy for him, brother. I won't let him get away with it this time." My determination was evident.

We finished our breakfast, the tension lingering, and headed to the office, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

We arrived at the office in style, cruising in the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, one of the many luxury cars in our collection. As we stepped out, my secretary, Kyla, greeted us and opened the front door for me, while my brothers were on the back seats. Aryan and Sanjay Bhai headed to the camera room, I headed to my cabin.

With an hour to spare before my 10 am meeting, I settled into my cabin and began working on my laptop.

Just then, a message popped up on my phone from none other than Kushal Mishra, the CEO of Mishra Company and my arch-rival.

His text read: "All the best for your deal, Ms. Sharma."

I replied, my fingers flying across the keyboard: "Try to steal my deal, and I won't leave you this time."

Kushal responded with a taunt: "I love challenges, sweetheart."

My response was swift and sharp: "Go to hell."

I set my phone aside, feeling a surge of anger, but I took a deep breath and calmed myself, refocusing on my work.

At 10 am, Aaran arrived, and we had a meeting . Just as I was about to leave, my assistant, Suhani, approached me with a worried expression. "Mam, we lost the deal," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

My anger simmered, but I remained silent, my mind racing. "Who got the deal?" I asked, my voice icy calm.

Suhani frowned, "Mishra Enterprises."

I clenched my fists, my thoughts screaming, "Fuck you, Kushal Mishra!" But I kept my cool, my expression stoic. Without a word, I left the office, Kyla trailing behind me. "Where to, ma'am?" he asked. "Leave it, I'll drive," I replied, my voice firm.

I drove straight to Kushal's office building, my determination burning brighter with every mile. I arrived at the 14th floor, where his two burly bodyguards, Luca and Lucian, stood outside his cabin. "I need to see your boss," I said, my voice firm.

They said, "Ma'am, he's busy. He can't meet you now."

I didn't ask again. I simply stated, "I'm not asking, I'm telling you to leave." Without hesitation, I opened the door to his cabin, and to my surprise, he was nowhere to be found.

"Where the hell are you, Kushal Mishra?" I almost yelled, my patience wearing thin. The silence that followed was deafening, until his calm, smooth voice replied, "In your heart, sweetheart." I spun around, but he was nowhere to be seen. I knew he was enjoying this cat-and-mouse game, his smirk evident in his tone.

"Stop your nonsense and come here in front of me," I demanded, my voice firm, as I sat down on the couch. His response was laced with amusement, "And what if I don't, sweetheart?"

I smirked, my eyes narrowing, "Don't challenge me, Kushal Mishra. You know me well enough to understand how capable I am of getting what I want." My words were laced with a warning, but he just chuckled, his voice low and husky.

"What will you do, sweetheart?" he whispered, his breath tickling my earlobe, sending shivers down my spine. His voice was powerful, charming, and menacing all at once. I felt a thrill of anticipation mixed with a hint of fear, knowing that I was in for a battle of wits with this cunning adversary.

He sauntered into the room, his black outfit a stark contrast to his piercing gaze. He sat down in front of me, his coat draped over the seat, and his sleeves rolled up, revealing his tattoos. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, showcasing his neck and a hint of his chest. He looked devilishly handsome, and for a moment, I was distracted. But my anger quickly resurfaced, and I sprang into action.

I marched over to him, my heels clicking on the floor, and grasped his collar, my fingers tightening around the fabric. "Why the hell did you take my deal?" I demanded, my voice low and menacing.

His eyes darkened, his jaw clenched, and for a moment, we locked gazes, the tension between us palpable.
